Charlie loves to go on dog walks!

Dog Walkers:
Dog walkers are like groomers in the HRM - they're hard to find, and
once you find a good one - they
Beth McLelland is the current owner of Paws in the woods - her phone number is 452-2048 - she does group walks, individual walks and in home boarding
Jessie McGrath is the newest dog walker in town and she has a facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/walkswithjessie - she is currently focusing on the west and south ends of Halifax - so if that's the area you're living in and you're looking for a dog walker - you should check her out!!
Heather Sinclair has started a dog walking business called "Tails
to Trails" - she offers primarily off leash groups walks (up to
a maximum of 6 dogs per walk) and eventually hopes to be offering two
walks per day (mornings and afternoons, Monday to Friday). Walks are 1
-1.5 hours in duration and take place at various dog friendly locations
throughout HRM (including but not limited to Point Pleasant Park, Long
Lake, Shubie Park, Sandy Lake). Her phone number is 266-HIKE
(266-4453). She will have a website shortly - her email address is
- heathersinclair8@gmail.com
Alex Ross owns "Dogs on Slogs" - he's focusing his walks in Point Pleasant Park at the moment. His phone number is 431-9099, and his email is dogonaslog@gmail.com - he's recently moved here from Toronto, I think he made the right choice in moving away from such a dog hating province - and it's great he's made the choice to choose a career in dogs - good luck to him!.
Sandie who owns "Positive Solutions" is interesed in both pet sitting (in your home or hers) and dog walking. She likes to keep the number of dogs she walks down to a very personal and manageable 4 per walk so she's pretty selective. She's been doing this on and off for the last couple of years but have decided to dedicate herself - it is the most enjoyable part of her day so she's doing what all the gurus say we should do - following her passion! Her email address is apawsitivesolution@gmail.com and her phone number is 405-0713
"Dog Trekkers K9 Adventures" - call their dog walking business an "Outdoor Trekking Adventure For Your Dog" - and that to me sounds like a lot of fun for your dog! They offer different services that include off leash long runs in the woods with other dogs, or on-leash walks in your neighbourhood - and they also offer over night boarding their home - so check out their website and see what they have to offer, they're a company with a lot of energy and a true love for dogs - so you won't regret checking them out. They also offer photography for dogs - so you can go for the exercise - and stay for the great pictures - it's win/win! haha!
Leslie Guy and Sue Ross have started a dog walking business called "Walkees" - Leslie is a vet tech who has been around dogs for many years at Carnegy Animal Hospital and Sue is a horse person and pet sitter who's an active SPCA volunteer who've decided to put their love for dogs into a business venture - if only we could all do that! On their website they say that "they offer exercise for you dog in safe controlled environments with knowledgeable pack leaders" - that sounds fabulous to me! Their website is at http://www.walkees.ca/index.htm - which has their contact information and rates - so go check them out!
Wandering Paws will walk your dog for 2 hours for you - their website is at http://wanderingpaws.ca/ - and their phone number is 222-3376
Amy and Adina MacRae operate a dog walking service as part of their business "Sublime Canine" - you can find out the types of service they offer by checking out their website at http://www.sublimecanine.ca/
I couldn't decide exactly where Rob's business should go on my website because he covers so many important areas - and he does them all really well! But I though I'd put him here because he'll probably get the most exposure here. Rob has a company called "Van Tassel's Canine Services" and the first paragraph of his web site reads: "Van Tassel's Canine Services is committed to providing positive and safe training methods to the residents of Halifax. As an obedience trainer who uses positive reinforcement, I will help teach your dog how to be a good canine citizen." He offers dog walking, one on one obedience training - and here's something that's REALLY neat - he also offers one-one-one agility training! His training methods are all positive and geared towards what YOUR dog needs - not what he's trying to sell you, or what his training regimen has done for other dogs. He's a gentle man who does great things with dogs.
The longest working and hardest serving dog walker in HRM is a guy named Steve Nichols and his phone number is 209-5698. He takes them the dogs for a good 2 hour walk. I've seen him at Point Pleasant Park and also at Long Lake. He's also really good with large dogs and "less than perfect dogs". Jana and her dog Nikki use him and she (Nikki - and Jana too because Nikki loves him so much and has become such a much better dog!) say that Steve has done wonders with her dog other dog JD.
Ashael Cooke of Happy Tails Dog Walking offers her services in Peninsular Halifax, Fairview and Clayton Park, you can check out her website at - http://www.happytailshrm.com/Welcome.html
Robin Hall currently owns City Tails - who's website is at http://www.citytails.ca - he mostly does pet sitting and dog walking, puppy visits and things like that - so check out his website for all the services he offers!
If you're a local dog walker and you want me to include you on this page - you can email me at dogkisser@gmail.com - and I'll list you here so we can all share the love.

Charlie loves Halifax has been on the internet since May of 2002 and has had over 1,000,000 hits from local dog lovers since then. It is a site maintained completely and solely by one (1) person and her dogs completely and utterly for her own pleasure and her personal beliefs about how she would like the Halifax Regional Municipality to become more dog friendly, and what she believes to be a lovely view of what the world is, and how what it can become. If you agree with her view of this dog-centric world - that is super-fant-abulous. If you don't - that is too bad, but that is your opinion - just as everything on this website is - the opinion and beliefs of one person. If you believe them to be anything more than that - you have been mis-informed and have given me an importance anyone would lust after, but I certainly do not covet. Thanks for reading....
